- Diesel Vans incur an additional RUC - Government charge per km at the end of journey. However in New Zealand Diesel fuel is cheaper at the pump than petrol.
In NZ personal injury insurance is covered by the NZ Govt and is included in the vehicle registration fee. The vehicle is comprehensively insured. This means 100% cover for all vehicle and/or property damage. The policy also covers windscreen and window damage. Our insurance carries a standard excess of $1000.00. For drivers under 25 years the excess is $1500.00. Because of our history of careful drivers, Aroha Rentals has an excellent insurance record, and our excess of $1000.00 is very low.
